CDI-Africa Graduation 2026: Celebrating Africa’s Next Generation of Certified Coaches

Published by Sharon Jumba on

CDI-Africa’s 2026 graduation ceremony marked another milestone in the organization’s mission to develop world-class coaching talent across the African continent. This annual event celebrates the graduates who have completed CDI-Africa’s rigorous ICF-accredited programs and are now equipped to serve as certified coaches in organizations across Africa and beyond.

Each CDI-Africa graduation represents more than individual achievement. It is a tangible measure of the continent’s growing capacity to develop its own leaders through coaching. Every graduate adds to the pool of ICF-credentialed coaches serving Africa, gradually closing the gap between the growing demand for coaching and the supply of qualified practitioners.

The 2026 graduating class includes professionals from diverse backgrounds and multiple African countries. They have completed programs ranging from the Global Diploma in Professional Coaching to the Global Diploma in Executive Leadership Coaching, Global Diploma in Executive Coaching and the Coaching Business Masterclass. Their diversity of experience enriches the coaching profession and ensures that African organizations can find coaches who understand their specific contexts.

The graduation ceremony brought together graduates, faculty, families, organizational sponsors, and coaching industry leaders for a celebration that honors the commitment and growth each graduate has demonstrated. The event typically includes keynote addresses from coaching industry leaders, recognition of outstanding graduate achievements, and opportunities for networking among the CDI-Africa community.

For organizations attending the graduation, the event provides an opportunity to identify coaching talent for their leadership development needs. CDI-Africa’s graduates are immediately equipped with the competencies and credential readiness to begin professional coaching engagements.

CDI-Africa’s graduation is also a moment to reflect on the broader impact of coaching on the continent. Since 2006, CDI-Africa has graduated multiple cohorts of certified coaches who now serve organizations across more than 15 African countries. These coaches are driving leadership development, organizational transformation, and culture change in corporations, government agencies, NGOs, and entrepreneurial ventures.

For aspiring coaches, the graduation ceremony offers inspiration and a tangible vision of what completing an accredited coaching program looks like. Many current CDI-Africa students trace their decision to pursue coaching education to attending a graduation ceremony and seeing the caliber of professionals the organization produces.

CDI-Africa’s annual graduation continues a tradition that has become one of the most significant events in Africa’s coaching calendar, demonstrating the organization’s sustained commitment to developing the coaching profession across the continent.
