The Pioneer Cohort of the Global Coaching Index (GCI) Practitioners Graduates!

We had our inaugural class of 14 Global Coaching Index (GCI) Practitioners graduate during the GCI international launch held on the 18th November, 2021. The GCI Practioner program is an advanced coaching certification program for the certified coaches who wish to be licensed by CDI-Africa Coaching Group to administer all the 5 tools under the GCI system with a view to accelerate the scaling of coaching and leadership in organizations. It is worth noting that the GCI Practitioner program is approved by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for 36 CCE’s.
We celebrate these pioneer GCI Practitioner graduates drawn from 4 countries – Kenya, Ghana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. As we do so, we posthumously celebrate the late Mbula Munyao, who until her sudden demise was one of the students undergoing the training program with her 14 colleagues. We pray to God that her soul rests in eternal peace.
We look forward to continued partnership with all the GCI Practitioners, who are already either internal or external coaches, to further the work of embedding coaching in organizations in Africa and beyond. The overall goal is to accelerate the scaling of coaching and leadership in organizations, and ultimately get coaching philosophy woven into the tapestry of organizations.
“For my practicum, I had the honor of administering the index to one of the largest pension management firms in Ghana for their first level leaders. The feedback I received from the leaders is that the assessment demystified coaching to them. It was no longer about just being told you know how to coach, or you should use the coaching style as a leader but rather broke it down for them what it means for a leader to be a coach.”
