Coaching for Christian Leaders – Partnership with All Saints’ Cathedral Church

With our vision of seeing “coaching woven into the tapestry of our society” we continue to advance our partnership with key societal stakeholders that have multiple potential touchpoints to cascade and accelerate the coaching impact through their ecosystem. In this context, churches are therefore one of our critical partners.
Between July – September, 2021 we partnered with the All Saints Cathedral Church Nairobi to train and equip 18 leaders (both clergy and core ministry leaders) with the essential coaching skills for ministry. The coaching program was developed by Eileen Laskar and accredited by the International Coaching Foundation (ICF) with a rating of 28 CCES. The program is specially designed to enable ministry and church leaders to entrench coaching as a culture in their church ministry. The foundation is now set and we look forward to witnessing the growth of coaching and impact having experienced their shift of mindset and posture & hearing of their commitment moving forward as regards leading with the coaching approach.
“Coaching helps you see solutions. As a society we are oriented to see more of the problems than solutions. However, thanks to coaching conversations we are able to see more of possibilities than impossibilities.”

“Why coaching in ministry?” Coaching is a powerful tool & practice that facilitates deep awareness and transformation. Needless to say, the church offers one of the best trust-based platforms to support this process of transformation. Nothing can beat a careful blend of coaching skills, biblical principles, prayers and the inspiration by the Holy Spirit. Adopting coaching as a leadership and ministry dispensation approach empowers both leaders and congregants to tap into their inherent potential, own their responsibility for holistic growth and wholesome living.
We have been blessed and privileged to partner with Pastors, and many ministry leaders that God has also brought our way through our global coaching diploma programs. Their testimonies of how coaching has transformed their leadership and ministry is what has fueled the church-based coaching initiatives that we are now scaling, first in Kenya, later in Africa. We consider that to be part of serving God with our gifts, talent and resources.
“Instead of giving answers to our members, congregations & the people we lead, we are able to equip them to be the ones that are actually thinking outside their comfort zone & exploring different ideas. Coaching is a tool that will help you not only grow but also grow others.”

“Coaching can empower our church members to take responsibility for their own spiritual maturity. It is how we ensure we have no more starving spiritual babies in the church.”
